5 Reasons Why I Stay Out Of The Home Depot

  1. Aisles so cavernous, I need to leave a trail of bread crumbs so I can find my way out of the store.
  2. I can easily wander around looking for help for 15 minutes without seeing an orange apron.
  3. Once I do find help, the only thing the guy can show me is how he can tie his apron without looking.
  4. Once I find what I am looking for, the spot on the shelf is completely empty. (It is amazing how often this happens to me!)
  5. Or inevitably the aisle I need to go down is blocked off and 2 guys in orange aprons are getting down a pallet of ceramic tile from the rafters. Can’t we do this after the store closes!

OK, now I feel better. This is why I will stick to the local Ma and Pa hardware stores where good customer service is still a reality. Or I will just use a Home Depot.com coupon and shop from home. Here are some coupons that could help.

Stolen Starbucks Coupons

I saw over at Starbucks Gossip that you can buy stolen Starbucks coupons good for a free cup of Joe. Apparently they are sold on eBay and you can get these coupons in bulk for about $2.50 each. That number surprised me. Not sure I would go out of my way to buy a bunch of coupons in order to get $4 cups of coffee for $2.50. I suppose if you drink coffee like a total fiend it could be worth your time.

But what got me feathers ruffled was a post I saw at The Consumerist posing the question “Is It Morally Wrong To Buy Stolen Starbucks Free Drink Coupons On eBay?” Are you kidding me? I can’t believe that this question is even being posed.

  • Just because it is a large, profitable company somehow people think that stealing from them is somehow less wrong. As if to say, “they make so much money, they will never even notice.” Last time I checked stolen goods were exactly that, stolen.
  • Nice to see that most of the commenter’s on The Consumerist agree with me that it is morally wrong. Here is one comment that I thought was amusing:
    • “It is morally wrong to pay $2.47 as a “deal” on a cup of coffee.” Boy ain’t that the truth!
